Swindon Comedy Festival 2009
A week of comedy that will get you laughing
It's big, it's back and it's all set to get you laughing!
Swindon's annual comedy festival is set to take place this summer, 26 June to the 03 July, with big names already confirmed.
Micheal McIntyre kicks- off the festival on the 10 June and in his footsteps follow the mighty James Campbell with much otter fun for families and children alike.
The hugely successful return of the raunchy duo Topping and Butch will be taking centre stage as part of a night in the Wyvern's Circle restaurant. And, make sure you come along with your ears wide open for Pluck! - the sensational string trio that will delight the young and young at heart with their hilariously witty musical show. You would be wise to check out our newest addition to our already mixed bill, The Bad Film Club featuring comedian Rob Deering. The Bad Film Club claim there is nothing more soul destroying than watching a bad film on your own, so instead make a night of it with friends and play along with mini instruments to the celluloid atrocity Xanadu starring Olivia Newton-John. An event that will bring tears to your eyes and cause your Malteasers to roll through the auditorium as you shake with laughter Live comedy in the Circle Restaurant takes pride of place in this years festival special of Comedy Curry, doing exactly what it says on the tin.
